The idea to make the Makeshift Cat occurred to Dale,
when the Rescue Rangers investigated the
mysterious disappearance of all the cats from the town. After building the
model of the Cat Dale and Monty
hid inside of it.
The invention was made from a wooden skeleton, covered with a cat-fur colored
fabric. At the front a conventionalized cat face is attached, at the
rear is a tail.
Four wooden sticks are fixed onto the skeleton (loose coupling). They
work as Cat's legs. By moving them, Dale and Monty controlled the Cat's
movement.
