The Tire Slide is intended for quick descent from the workshop to the
Main Room of RRHQ, and was probably made by Chip and Dale before Gadget
moved to the oak tree.
The Slide is made from an old bicycle tire which
has been cut in half in order to make a spiral gutter, which winds around
a vertical metal post, with each end firmly anchored. The rubber on the
inside of the gutter has probably been modified in such a way so that
friction is reduced to a minimum. This makes it impossible to move up
the Slide, as was seen in the episode, "Adventures in Squirrelsitting" (#05)
when Dale and Monty attempt to chase Bink up the Slide.
The Slide was
shown in every episode where we see the Main Room.
